What Galileo Staff Say

Why should you work at Galileo Learning? Here are some thoughts from our staff:

Recharge Your Batteries: Camp is where I come to recharge my batteries from the school year. I feel like I'm a better version of myself at camp. —Danielle, Operations Coordinator

Change Your Life: Camp Galileo not only transforms each and every camper that comes each summer...it also changes the lives of the staff members as well. I would recommend a summer of Camp Galileo to anyone looking for fun, growth and a ton of great memories. —Legacy, Operations Coordinator

Learn through Feedback: Camp Galileo is an amazing program where campers learn to work together, play together, and take risks. Your fellow staff members are supportive and you are guaranteed to build some long lasting friendships! At Galileo, not only do you get to play all day, but you get true professional development through feedback. —Atalie, Lead Science Instructor

Take on New Challenges: Camp Galileo is a GREAT place to work. They well prepare you generally for what to expect, but each day brings new challenges, rewards, and experiences to take with you for a long time. —Lindsey, Team Leader

Grow as an Educator: Growing up Galileo is a concept not only for campers but for staff as well. Galileo brings out the best in all of us. We as staff grow with Galileo, our campers and with the community to create a better tomorrow. One day with Galileo changes the rest of your life. —Melissa, Operations Coordinator

We've also asked some of our alumni to share their stories with you—the reasons why they return each year to Galileo, and what they've gained from the experience.

Develop and Achieve Personal Goals: Camp G was one of the best working experiences I've had. They were open to making my personal goals happen, and I was able to be part of an extraordinary team. It was a great summer. —Jessica, Team Leader

Find your Career Path: I went into this experience thinking that I might like to be a teacher. After the first week of camp I was already researching credential programs! I have never been more motivated or encouraged to become an educator! —Aly, Team Leader

Bring out the Kid in You: Being a Lead Instructor taught me how to be a kid again. After teaching in a classroom all year, I got to break all the rules and get crazy with the campers. There is no other job where I get paid to play games with kids all day! —Stacy, Lead Outdoor Instructor

Have a Ton of Fun! Sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure Camp G is not a dream! I have never had this much fun "on the job" before. —Julie, Lead Art Instructor

Impact your Community: I came to Camp Galileo to grow as a person, and I found myself with new friends, new challenges, and an exciting experience that has made my summer a chance to improve myself as a person and make a difference for the kids in my community. —Leslie, Summer Intern

Have the Best Summer of your Life: Above all, the Camp G experience isn't "just a summer job." The people you meet and the friends you make will continue to impact you for years beyond camp—the Team Leaders and Lead Instructors I met truly inspired me and showed me that you can be a fun, silly kid at heart without compromising the goals of teaching and learning. Nothing feels more rewarding than building relationships with the kids you work with, transforming how they view learning, and inspiring them to return as staff members themselves a few years down the road. Though we certainly work hard, it doesn't feel like a job when you're having the best summer of your life. —Crystal, Team Leader
