MEET OUR FREMONT SUMMER CAMP TEAM

Melissa Garcia, Camp Director

Melissa is excited to return for her fifth summer with Galileo in her third year as a Camp Director. She is a graduate of Sacramento State with a B.A. in English Literature and a concentration in Creative Writing. During the school year, she works as an office coordinator for an organization that provides services for children with special needs.

A Note From Your Camp Director

Hello there, fellow SpaghettiOs! Chicken Rita and I are practically bouncing off the walls excited to see you all. She has been writing up a list of things for all of us to do: sticker and glitter bombing, singing loud and proud, wearing silly hats and hair-dos and of course, WATERBALL wetness! So before you start your first day at camp you must speak, in a clear, camp voice, the FREMONT PROMISE: I pledge to sing and act goofy. I pledge to wear my team color with pride. I pledge to get creative. I pledge to try something new. I pledge to give my friends a handshake, high-five or hug. I pledge to dance with Chicken Rita. And most importantly, I pledge to have fun at CAMP GALILEO! Now you are officially ready to start camp. See you there!
