Galileo Summer Quest Camp Format
Galileo Summer Quest campers select one Major and two Minors per session.
Majors: Each session campers enroll in one of our in-depth specialty Majors, covering 25 hours of curriculum and taught by experienced instructors. All Majors end with a culminating project produced by the campers. See a full list of Majors here.
Minors: Campers also choose two minors from a variety of interesting areas. Students participate daily in activities led by qualified instructors, and each Minor lasts a total of 12.5 hours per session. See a full list of Minors here.
Age Groups: Campers are grouped by grade level into Pulsars (5th-6th grades) and Quasars (7th-8th grades). Quasars work on more advanced projects and have the chance to take their skills to an even higher level. See the Majors and Minors pages for more details.
Parent Presentations: At the end of each two-week session, we invite parents to spend part of Friday afternoon with us while campers show off projects from their Majors. Parent Presentation schedules will be provided before summer sessions start.
